The eighteenth century as a period of great changes and transformations reverberated in the spiritual and cultural life of society and are enabling the emergence and development in the painting of still lifes and still life, with its formal and conceptual characteristics well defined, which are taken up again by five creators to shape this collective show, with the style and language of each one, whose result is none other than the revaluation of the theme from an individual vision and a modern attitude in the final result.
Jorge Salvador Guanche shows a finish in the composition and transparencies, as well as a reference to the delicate work of textures, achieving a variety of nuances in the desired object.
Guillén, on the other hand, resorts to the traditional line of still life in the treatment of dark light, achieving a synthesis in the rational being a pleasant work on aesthetic principles very characteristic of these themes in their beginnings. Zunayme Romero focuses his attention on the agromercados, and through large-scale photography, he revalues objects not conceived to please the view that acquire aesthetic connotation, on conceptual principles.
Carlos Vázquez tackles the subject of still life for years and shows us on this occasion the typical objects of the same, always in the foreground, tangible to the eye of the viewer, playing whimsically with objects and space.
For its part Hiosvani Ramos presents a more contemplative and realistic work, in which elements of architecture and landscape converge as a constant in his work achieving the confluence of all the resources used in the Natura-table that exposes us.
